The Financial Times published on 13 August 2026 an article examining the prospect of EY serving as the auditor for Anthropic. The four major audit firms are restricting the ability of leading AI companies to undergo independent audits. EY is regarded as the leading candidate because Deloitte, PwC and KPMG maintain public alliances with Anthropic that extend Claude to implementation services. SEC Rule 2-01 bars investors from holding direct or indirect significant business relationships with audit clients outside regular trading restrictions.
