The AI-focused cloud IREN will become the official jersey sponsor of the Golden State Warriors starting next season, according to an exclusive report by Dina Bass. The deal will place the company’s logo on the uniforms of Steph Curry, Jimmy Butler and the new acquisition Xcel Lendeborg.

IREN describes itself as a “neocloud”, an infrastructure provider that focuses exclusively on training and inference workloads for large models, without the broader layer of general-purpose cloud services. According to the report, the stated goal is to reach additional customers in what it calls “the world’s technology and AI capital”, i.e., the San Francisco Bay Area.

The Warriors already have one of the league’s longest-standing sponsorship deals with Rakuten, and the shift to IREN signals a clear move toward pure AI infrastructure. Curry and Butler are the club’s most recognizable faces, and the new acquisition Xcel Lendeborg joins as a new face expected to attract attention beyond the court.

The report does not include financial details, the contract length, or whether the arrangement is an exclusive primary sponsorship or part of a package that includes digital assets. It also does not say whether IREN will fully replace Rakuten or be added as a secondary partner on the jersey.

Choosing an NBA team as a marketing channel indicates the category’s maturation: GPU suppliers are trying to step out from under the major cloud providers and build an independent brand in front of technical decision‑makers. The Warriors, whose fan base includes a high concentration of engineers and investors, provide a natural stage for such a move.
