Omarchy raises $1.95M in tokens from major AI labs, total commitments hit $14.95M

The Linux distribution built almost entirely by autonomous agents has added $1.95 million in token commitments to its Omacom fund, pushing total pledges to $14.95 million.

Meta leads with $1.5M

Meta Superintelligence Labs joins as a founding token patron, committing $1.5 million in tokens for its new Muse Spark model. According to the project's creator, the model's pricing effectively makes that allocation unlimited in terms of usage volume, though the intention is to exhaust it anyway.

Anthropic, OpenAI and Fireworks join

Three more labs enter as distinguished token patrons at $150 thousand each. Anthropic and OpenAI will supply tokens particularly useful when security approval is needed to lift restrictions for research and security fixes. Fireworks AI will contribute tokens for its Kimi K models, known for an especially fast inference mode.

Built by agents, for agents

Omarchy Quattro isn't just designed for users who run agents — it was developed almost exclusively by them. The agents proved highly effective at writing Bash scripts, QML code and hunting OS bugs. Since launch, a backlog of more than 1,600 pull requests (PRs) has accumulated in a matter of weeks, and the contribution velocity now requires autonomous assistance to keep up.

From dotfiles to millions

The $14.95 million total looks fanciful for a project early critics dismissed as "just a bunch of dotfiles" — a fair assessment at the time, except the team kept fixing and expanding the foundation. With the new token inventory, the stated plan is to keep "fixing everything": security patches, performance improvements and merging the flood of community contributions.
