RSI changes data centers from expenses to high-cost machines

The technology of Recursive Self-Improvement (RSI) has become the hot term in language-model discussions and investor meetings; it presents artificial general intelligence (AGI) in financial terms: a model that performs cognitive tasks at human level or above and can improve itself without human intervention.

The connection between RSI and the technological singularity is not accidental. According to the presented view, we cannot predict what the singularity – the moment when technological development gets out of human control and accelerates on its own – will look like, but if we build a model that can solve complex tasks over time and improve itself, it will independently seek the path, discover what the singularity is and how to reach it, and ultimately achieve it on its own.
